It took me two attempts to get to the top of Mangerton, and it was the only remaining of the Kerry mountains that I had to conquer! Not the most challenging of the Killarney mountains, I underestimated the climb, and all the other factors in...More

This medium sized corrie lake offers a wonderful stopping point before making the final ascent to the summit of Mangerton. There is a nice, but steep path to the top and the walk along the ridge is well worth the effort. When climbing Mangerton, note...More

It's not a very tough climb. I suppose it takes about 2 hours up and a little over an hour back. The Punch Bowl itself is worth the walk but on a clear day there are excellent views over the Lakes of Killarney.
