Took a jaunting car ride to Ross Castle. Very nice ride through the park to the Castle. If you like castles and are visiting Killarney check it out.

I was recently in Killarney and visited Ross Castle. It worth going to have a look at. They also have a room with all kinds of history and restoration of the building.

I would recommend tour inside the castle because it looked as real. I am not sure that the furniture is medieval, but looks like it. Unfortunately making pictures is prohibited - that is why 4 instead of 5.
I did not pay to tour Ross Castle because my goal was to head out to Inishfallen Island. The boat to land on that Island is just around the other side of the castle. It is a great start for long hikes to Muckross Abbey...More
