We both the combination ticket for both the tour of the house and entrance to the farms. Two adults and three teenagers cost a very reasonable 45 euros. The tour of the house took one hour with our excellent guide. We took a break for lunch then spent another couple of hours on the farms. Great scenery too that was... More

Lovely grounds, great facilities, spectacular views. Good to just let children run around and be free. Very busy place in summer.

Beautiful property looking over the lake, tour the wonderful home, explore the gardens, take a carriage ride around the grounds, go to the abbey, see the waterfall and have lunch in a great cafeteria!.

The Muckross house and the areas that surround it are simply magnificent. There are stunning views of the nearby mountains, lakes, and woods. While here, be sure to hike out to the old abbey as well as take the wooded trails back to the main house area. I would recommend spending at least 3-5 hours, if not more. We only... More

This is a must stop in Kilarney! The home is being preserved beautifully. It's also amazing how far the kitchen was from the dining room. If you want to buy some of the Muckross blankets and scarves, you will find them at the best price at the end of the tour, compared to other places in Ireland.

You can drive to the Muckross estate and park for the day. Wander the grounds for free. The farm has a cost but we didn't have time for that. The house tour also costs a bit and was well worth the small fee. You learn a lot about the history of the area and the home itself. The guided tour... More

We had a great time walking through the woods to then see the astounding Muckross House. Then, we were taken on a beautiful Trot Carriage ride with our fabulous host, Paddy Coffey! He made the trip a joy and brought life to the old House. He even sang a song a requested, "It's a long Road to Tipperary" Way to... More

Went to the traditional farm and then the tour of the house. Kids as young as 4 & 5 were enthralled by everything and found the farm very interactive. When we went on the tour of the house our guide was excellent making sure that the tour was pitched at adult and kid level. Great day
