Nice area to walk, run or ride a bike. The history of the house is very interesting and the gardens are beautiful. The pony and trap is fun but not worth the money. They go from the house to the waterfall and the same way...More

Muckross Estate has extensive gardens and a large historic home (frequent guided tours only). Our guide was very knowledgeable and humorous. Worth a visit. There is a traditional farming exhibit included but we did not attend. This is a very popular and busy attraction.

We did the house tour. Didn't do the gardens. The house tour was very interesting. Would have been nice to see more of the upstairs. Our guide was very informative.

A pleasant tour of the house by a knowledgeable guide. We toured this fabulous period home while touring for three weeks. Definitely one of the better ones we've seen.

The story behind the house is nice, that gave it an extra 'layer' in our visit. The house itself is not spectacular, the garden is very nice to walk around.
