A 2 hour walk in the beautiful woods - a perfect way to explore Killarney National Park without getting lost. Here's what to expect: - You will have a great walk. We covered lots of different terrain - old manor houses, swamp land, lake fronts, woods... - Richard is genuinely interested in all the folks on the walk. (There were... More

I went on one of the walks in Sept. with two other women, Richard, and Richard's soulful, sweet, red setter, Rua. Rua impressed me as she showed us the way and sat quietly watching three deer by water's edge. We took in a lot of beauty, which I expected, but I also got a few surprises: berries and crab apples... Thank you Richard for the very interesting guide through the Killarney national park on St.Patrick´s day. Although it was raining heavily and Richard already had a busy day, he took his time to show me parts of the national park, you wouldn`t find as a tourist. It was great and I enjoyed it a lot! A fantastic guided tour of the National Park by Richard and lovely pal (dog) Rua. It was not a good day to walk so Richard offered to pick us up at the hotel drive my daughter and I to so many amazing points of interest. He is a wealth of information on the history, language, culture and geology of Ireland.... More

Our guide, Risteard, and his red setter dog kept us safe and informed on our walk. We met near the Cathedral and set off A bit of local history combined with wit, kept us laughing all the way The scenery is second to none. I enjoyed my outing.

It was a very nice guided walk in the national park. He took me to some great places with beautiful views of the mountains. Would never have known about these places if it wasn't for him, so thank you so much! And ofcorse the dog Rua, was such a nice and good dog that kept us company aswell.

Let me start by saying that I have been planning to Climb Carauntoohil (highest mountain in Ireland) for a couple of years now, in fact I planned my entire trip around it. I started contacting Richard weeks ahead of my trip; the responses were slow and unfortunately not very detailed, but I stuck with that them thinking that all would... More

I am very sorry that William didn't achieve his ambition to climb Corrán Tuathail Irelands highest mountain. I did agree to take him up there but on that weekend I was away in Dublin four hours drive away at a family funeral. I tried very hard to get a replacement guide, and another guiding company agreed to take him. I... More

The tour with Richard was plain awesome. His second guide Rua knew well to entertain us between the interesting and enlightening stories about the mythologic places Richard showed us. We saw a lot of wildlife in the National Park bordering Killarney, of which the deer bathing in the lake were the most awesome. With his charms, he even made a... More

Today we met Richard promptly at 11 AM at the designated spot and started our walk with a group of 6 adults (1 Thai, 5 Dutch including our 10 yo boy). Richard took us through Killarney National Park, showed us some nice tracks and spectacular views, and adapted the route on the go according to the group's preferences.

My first time in Killarney national park, I decided to go with the guided walk - turned out very nice. Richard is very friendly and he knows the local walking paths very well. Rua is very cute.
