Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Street market is an Istitution in Galway. The market runs every saturday morning, with rain or sun, doesn't matter.
Little, intime and local, it's a must to see. The offer is about souvenirs from local artisan and some times in high season also artists from abroud. Street food, including the famous BoyChik Donuts the best donuts in all County Galway, vegetables, fresh fish, honey and plants for the garden and more.
To be a cute and small market is pretty good indeed , isn't it?
When you start walking trough it, at the beginning it seems being in some Maroccan market. The path is quiet narrow, It is packed of people. The scent of food is all over and the talks people are in everywhere wich meens vibrant place to see and enjoyng it.
Just I let you know, again The Market is pretty small, don't be disappointed if you won't find many stalls or If you will walk just for few minutes.....The Life's deal is all about how we face new experiences, after all. Highly recommended.

We came towards the tail end, so many of the stalls were closing or closed, but we still found lots of interesting and nice little things here. Our favorite was the spelt bakery stall where we bought the best spelt muffins and breads, and the ladies at the stall were super nice and generous with samples. We'd love to come back someday when the market is in full swing.

Nice market. A lot of fresh produce. Breads fruit and veg. In a good location in the centre of Galway city. It was a really wet day when we visited so it was a rushed experience. Overall we enjoyed it.

For the best Fresh Fish, Veggies, meat & lots of other interesting goods. It is open on Saturday from 9am, but only get there after 10am as people are still setting up at 9am. Lots of interesting shops & walkways in the area to add to the market experience.

We stopped by the market on Saturday morning in the hopes of grabbing breakfast before leaving Galway for the weekend. It made me wish that a) we were staying and b) that we had a kitchen because there was so much good, fresh seafood and produce. Alas, we were limited to purchasing things that were ready to eat. So, here's what we had for our market breakfast: First, coffee from a little coffee stand, then we had sandwiches made from what I consider to be the best bagel ever. Galway Bay Bakery makes killer bagels, and then makes them more awesome by stuffing them with all sorts of goodness. Mine was fresh mozzarella, pesto, etc. on a pizza bagel; his was smoked salmon, cream cheese, etc. I loved these so much that I hoped to track down more bagels when we returned to Galway on Monday--later I figured out that this bakery does markets only, and is only at the Galway market Saturday. So, if you want the awesome bagels, go to the market on Saturday. We also got fantastic fresh juices, and picked up some strawberries for the road. (And in non-food items, we bought a couple of handmade hats for gifts.) The market isn't huge, but it does have a nice variety and is definitely worth a stop. Especially for the bagels.

Well, I think the title says it all. Some crepe makers/ vendors have been there for decades! An authentic and delicious experience.

Stop here for lunch if you're in Galway when the market is open - we went to a wonderful stand serving crepes... probably the best savory (ham and cheese) crepe I've ever had! Well worth a visit

Great local artists! Every vendor was very friendly and passionate about their work. I bought several Christmas gifts from different vendors. Loved the enameled copper jewelry
