Visit of the Bay was fantastic, nearby was people playing rugby and practising golf. Sea was bit cold, yet man had to try it anyway. Near the sea are lots of wonderfull shells.

A great walk and lovely Swans all over the bay. It is not a good idea to touch them they are wild animals. The view is stunning and

There is a lovely paved walking path that runs along the bay. We had an unusually sunny day and got over 20000 steps on the old fitbit!

Great place to take a leisure walk along the bay then reward yourself with a stout afterwards. I'd recommend walking the bridge to Mutton island (might be very windy but the views of the city are breath taking)

We took a leisurely stroll along the bay! It was quiet and beautiful. Love the row of colorful houses that line the channel. It’s just a short stroll from the lively Latin Quarter.

Beautiful scenery along the Galway Bay, not to mention the longest promenade in Ireland, from Salthill to Galway City.

So beautiful and unspoiled! Even though we were early, I can see the summer appeal too. I'd love to return when ts warmer.

My wife and I walked around for a long time. There was so much to see, and so many great pictures to be taken! We explored the area, but regret not going to the light house! We left the area relaxed and ready to eat!

We saw this by foot, by car, and by horse. It was by far the best part of the city. There was a huge art festival in town, but this area was still not too crowded to enjoy.

Galway has a peaceful walk up and down its two canals, which start and stop at the harbour, where you can watch hookers (boats) and swans in the bay.

From the center of Galway City not very far. When you just walk down the shopping street (Quay Street) you are nearly there.

I visited Irlande last summer with 2 friends. We were on foot. Just a warning, bus and train are expensive (compared to prices in France I mean). Of course you have to go to the Cliffs of Moher !! We stopped in Doolin, a... More

We only stayed one day and an half in Galway but the city is great. We've made a walk around the lakes of the Connemara National Park. Very beautiful !!
