Cozy little pub in Galway center. I could sit in one of the cozy snugs all day and watch the day go by. We had a nice lunch which was made by the restaurant upstairs. It was a quiet weekday afternoon but we had good service and a good Guinness pour. Would definitely go back next time through town.

Naughton's is a fabulous traditional pub, nooks and crannies everywhere and covered in posters from festivals over many years. We went for lunch on a cold November day just before leaving Galway and while Naughton's has atmosphere in spades the food was a disappointment. The menu is very short with soup and chowder, a couple of main courses and a... More

Came here after a dinner with my GF after a bottle of wine. Refused service. Staff were unacceptable

I'd recommend anyone visiting Galway to pop in here for a drink. There is lots of outside seating but I preferred inside as there were lots of different cosy areas to sit and lots of lovely art on the walls.

I had a glass of ale at one of the outside tables because it was such a nice day. The pub itself is quaint, historic, and has a great ambience. Next time I'll go for the music at night.

Up there with the best pubs in Ireland. Absolutely gorgeous pint of Guinness in a quaint 'old man's' pub. Great characters and craic throughout

The wife and I had lunch and a couple pints there. We missed the night crowd, which I'm told is amazing. However, during the daytime it was not crowded and we easily got our own corner to sit and relax. Lunch was good, a simple small menu to choose from. The food and drinks were paid for separately, as I'm... More

Recently visited Galway on a stag outing for a friend. There was 11 of us. We weren't drunk as this was actually the first pub we went in to. We weren't rowdy and we're well behaved. When the first of us went to the counter we were asked were we on a stag, which we replied we were. The woman... More

Essential and atmospheric spot for a pint while strolling or shopping in downtown Galway, Tigh Neachtain's is a pokey little tourist magnet that somehow retains its authenticity. That's probably due to the excellent Guinness, creaky wood panelling, and lovely old books, photos and posters on the walls, particularly the Galway Arts Festival ones of years past. Staff were child-friendly and... More
