We walked about a third of the Promenade out by Knocknaccara and LOVED it!! The views are incredible and the path is very nice. You can visit the beach on a sunny day (if your lucky enough to get one of those) and get some...More

Really beautiful, open, large area outside of Galway. Also good places to stay right on the ocean. Very clean and safe.

Make sure you get to the end to kick the wall. Why? I don't know but it seems to be a tradition. The most interesting thing about this area may be the people swimming in this freezing cold water!

There are amusement areas some by the sea but not on the prom, there was a little road train that took families around the seafront.
