Not a great docks area although it depends on where people think they finish, There are one or two restaurants and bars and some nice apartments & houses but once you get to the Spanish Arch I don't count that as Docks area so overall...More

I did a walk around galway recently and I walked around by the docks not to mention all the great boats a yauths , it was quite and peaceful as a painter its a treasure trouve you can make great drawings of the boats

We walked around the docks here and found them like all other dock areas. There was a ferry in so must be where they leave from. There were business & personal boats docked here. Water was dirty, lots of trash floating around.

Walked through the docks on way to city for meal. Really interesting with people working on their boats, counted nearly 30 swans and as we moved away from the area lovely to look back and see the painted buildings. Most parking by permit so ended...More

The docks area has improved very much with a new marina for yachts and boats it's become a good place to stroll around and look at the ships and yachts.some restaurants and bar there too.
