I used this service from shannon to Dublin via bunratty and limerick.service was very good, with complementary wifi right throughout.very comfortable seats.drivers were very irish as they were helpfull and friendly.fare was a bit on the high side though if you go for a return ticket is competitive. They can improve on the number of frequencies and to be on time... I've travelled with Bus Eireann since 2005, and each time I've boarded one of their services to Carrick-on-Shannon or Cavan, I've always had a pleasant journey. If you're not sure where to get off at your destination just ask the Driver and he'll be happy too help (they've always assisted me whenever i've needed it). I look forward to using... More

I travel from Dublin airport to the southeast of Ireland every month or two, mostly using Bus Eireann. In my experience, the buses are nearly always on time and the WiFi works well. Some of the newer buses have electrical sockets (handy for recharging devices). The bus drivers are hit and miss - but some are friendly and helpful. Overall... More

Our driver C. was always in perfect control of his coach, and made his very best to make this an unforgettable ride. Bored to death, with a slight Droopy attitude, nothing on the road will ever surprise him, except for those damn tourists and cyclists. Every word that comes through the mouth of a tourist asking for a ticket or... More

I have ridden many buses in many different areas. All have their fair share of good and bad things. However, Bus Eireann is a nightmare that is mostly bad things shrouded with "you're grand". We have lived in Ireland for a year and don't own a car, so our primary transportation has been Bus Eireann in Cork. We have been... More

It seems the 7 day pass only allows you to travel 3 days. You can purchase another day but it seems not on the bus. Have to go to the window. You cannot go to window on Sundays! Make sure the driver enters the correct date! We had a driver enter the wrong date on one day and we could... More

Just returned from a 15 day trip to Ireland, we didn't rent a car instead we used public transportation via Bus Eireann. It was wonderful, buses are clean, comfortable and on time. We used Expressway from city to city throughout Ireland and used the city buses around town daily to save on walking or the use of taxis, Our luggage... More

I'd never traveled by bus and was a little hesitant, but wow what a nice surprise. We got such excellent service: A few days before leaving for Ireland, I realized that we couldn't pick up our Open Road passes at Shannon Airport, and it was too late to have them mailed. If we took the 6:25 am bus from the... More

Great alternative to the car for travelling from the West of Ireland to Dublin city. Service runs on time, coach drivers are friendly, the coaches were modern, clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi is available on board with power points to charge mobile devices. Return day trip just costs €24-cheaper than driving and having to pay for parking in the city.
