Was excited to stop at a place where James Joyce was honored but very disappointed. No service/ finally received a menu/ Food menu really disappointing. No staff available. Finally decided to leave/ Don't take the time/ evidently this restaurant needs staff.

Our first stop, mainly because it was near our apartment, and a good people viewing spot. It has won a minor award for being an authentic Dublin pub. Quality Dublin welcome service!

My wife and I ate dinner at The Mercantile. The bar/restaurant has interesting ornate woodwork. My wife had the lamb rump, and I had chicken linguine. Both were well cooked and very enjoyable. Our waitress, a young Brazilian lady was pleasant and attentive.

The Mercantil bar is a charming pub made in traditional irish way, with a great atmosphere! Thank you Tristan for your soft and warm kindness. So sorry to give you only a chocolate tip and forget the real one( that you deserve so much!)

Met my son and his girlfriend there recently. Very lively spot. And very central. There were a couple of parties on there. So lots of activity and chatting. Very good atmosphere. Very enjoyable.
