We weren't aware of the area before our stay and just happened upon it. It turned out to be our favorite part of the city and wish we had more time to spend in it. Great architecture, shops and food.

My wife and I decided to visit the area as we spend a lot of time browsing antique shops wherever we travel. The number of shops was somewhat disappointing and a high-percentage of the shops were extremely high-end. In one shop we saw a desk...More

Francis Street in the centre of Dublin has a small selection of about 10 excellent antiques shops. These offer really high quality antique furniture and decorative objects. I was impressed with the quantity as much as the quality. Unfortunately nothing that appealed to my collecting...More

I shop antiques all over United States and Europe. This is a small quarter (one street) but I found "4 treasures" in Michael Connell Antiques. His store was quite eclectic. I found old Irish glass, India Sterling Silver, France Limoges and African art. Michael was...More

Looking for collectibles, but the one shop that looked promising was closed. Other shops had more high end antiques, furniture and large items.

I came to Dublin on an antique buying trip, to find good quality. Having read one review on trip advisor that was slamming the place it left me fearing the worst. How wrong that review is. The street has many large top quality antique shops,...More
