Something for everyone.

I like popping in here when the weather is nice. But lately I come away empty handed. I tend to find better stuff in charity shops. But if you're not allergic to hipsters it's quite nice on a sunny day to have a mooch around. The last time I was there though the queues for hot food were too long... More

One thing Dublin is surprisingly weak on is flea and street markets. The Flea Market on the historic Newmarket Square is trying to fill that gap but hasn't quite succeeded..........yet. It is growing and improving all the time and as the number of traders increases so will the market. As it is, it's a nice place to spend a bit... More

The Newmarket area dates back some 400 years and over the last 15 it has been subject to a rather attractive face lift. I've been meaning to go to the Flea market for ages, but never bothered committing to the last Sunday of the month! I haven't been to other "Flea" markets per se, but it did feel like it was just a hipster market selling random bric-a-brac. I didn't feel drawn to any particular stalls and anything I did see that I... More

The walk to the flea market was nice once you get away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets.the flea market was a bit small, but this could also be because it's not the height of their season. It was a nice little piece to see during our visit. I actually planned our visit so we could go to... More

I like flea markets in general, cause you get to see and find many interesting things...but compared to some huge flea markets I've been to in Germany, this one just wasn't anything special...I will definitely come back again though

This is a nice market with some great stalls, but the problem is that a number of stallholders refuse to haggle at all. There was a woman selling books yesterday who would not do any hagggling on the price, with the result that I didn't buy it. I saw this happen with a number of other potential buyers, who walked... Like going to this market on the last Sunday of the month. Easy to get to. Lots of interesting people selling even more interesting things. We bought some chairs last time we were there and just about got them in the car! There is a super mix of people and some great food. Nice spot to sit inside and have... More

It was a slightly rainy day when I went, but that did not stop all the people from attending. There were a bunch of nic nacs of different types that included clothes, jewelry, art, war memorabilia, old sewing machines (really wish I got the old Singer I saw. Kicking myself now.) and a few food outlets. I didn't buy anything... More
