Peadar Kearney’s on Dame street is a traditional pub with strong historic roots. The pub is named after a musician who composed Abhrán na BhFiann (The Irish national anthem). We continue this tradition with nightly traditional, toe tapping music. One of the regular musicians, Brian Brody, is a must see for any tourist visiting the city. He’s a one man atmosphere machine. There’s a basement bar downstairs when upstairs overflows, which also caters to most sporting events. If you’re looking for somewhere with temple bar music and atmosphere without the prices, take a look at Peadar’s.

Great music, open to our nerdy requests. Bartender let my (brand new) wife pour a couple of Guinness behind the bar. Great bar! Definitely will visit again.

Recently arrived in Dublin, I was looking for a Pub away from the tourists where I could relax and enjoy the Irish hospitality, folklore and their fantastic sense of humor. I must have been very inspired when I pushed that door, as everything I was looking for was suddenly there, just in front of me !! A crowd of genuine... More

I went alone and the bartender was very welcoming and gentle, also explaining to me and suggesting me what to take. There was live music, it was all in all a very lay back place I enjoyed.

Peadar Kearney's is a small and quite easy to pass by without noticing it. It's not very fancy or anything, but definitely worth a visit on Friday and Saturday nights. That's when pub singer Brian Brody performes. He's a great entertainer and singer. He knows how to take his audience and every time he manages to create a great atmosphere.... More

Was the first pub we went to when visiting Dublin and we weren't disappointed. We got to experience an old school shut in and I got to pour my own pint. Brilliant!

Well having read on trip advisor that it was one of the cheapest in Dublin for a Guinness I decided to check it out. Surely the most miserable bar tender ever. I ordered my pint and handed over my five euros. The local guy sitting next to me handed him a five euro note as well for his Guinness and... More

I promised to tell only good things;) And actually I can't say anything bad about this place. Every time when I'm in Dublin I spend a lot of time here. Why? So many reasons. Great music, and I'm talking not only about Brian Brody, all tunes there are great. Very-very-very friendly staff and nice regulars. You'll never stay alone in... More
