You get everything you want. There is a great and hard climb, there is a flat and fast down trail, there are other trails those are more technical, bumpy. On some trails you can practicing jumps, turns, etc.

It does have a well maintained trail, but I spent most of my time cycling uphill and then when I reached the top there was no trail back down, just a flat road. Perhaps there was a downhill trail that I couldn't see due to lack of signage, etc.

Ticknock is an amazing sopt for MTB. There is one huge managed loop, starting with a proper climb. This is a walking and mountain biking area, with mountain biking specific trails too. There is bike rental available from BIKING.IE and a small tuck shop / parts shop, should you need. The trails are marked RED so are accessible to everyone,... More

We completed the green walking trail in ticknock woods today the fairy castle loop.... however some of the signs where angled in the wrong direction which lead us down the wrong path...
