The people are fun the drinks are good and so are the prices. Upstairs they have local comedians and other shows as well as karaoke. If you want to hang out that is in a good area but not the typical tourist trap, The International...More

This is a dirty kip, at least the bar on the ground floor is. On both occasions I visited there recently, I found the staff rude and grumpy, with one barman in particular proudly sporting a kind of cranky donkey demeanour. Horrible toilets, too. Best...More

Google translator! Also on my second visit to Dublin I did not miss the chance to go back to the Interantional Bar. Why? Here you can enjoy Dublin in a cozy atmosphere and authentic flair. The pub is not too big, but not too small....More

Deliberately walked into area because the International had advertised a blues night event. Arrived a bit early so stopped into the downstairs bar for a drink first. Bar was almost empty. Asked if they did coffee and barman said no so started asking him for...More

...compensates for astonishingly mediocre “Traditional Irish Stew”. Unusually limited range of whiskeys includes 12-year Red Breast, always good. Similarly limited range of beers includes Guinness; so they have everything one actually needs in a corner pub. Just don’t order food.

We stumbled upon this bar and are happy we did. It's got great history, originating in 1838, and a fantastic atmosphere. Alan was our bartender and he went out of his way to explain the history of the bar, Guiness, Jameson, Midleton, and other traditional...More

My wife and I visited here several days on our recent trip to Ireland and it was our favorite spot to end our day and stay until the wee hours. Great Irish Stew and ice cold Guiness. The bar tenders were the best. Will definitely...More

The International shows it’s age, with few updates and a worn interior. Please take down the banners and show that great back bar.

Bartender was busy but still had time to joke with us! Great environment but be prepared for joviality... if you can’t handle jokes, this isn’t your cup of tea. The three of us, all women, felt comfortable and enjoyed our drink in this lively place.
