Went to the Sarah Jarosz gig here as part of the Dublin Tradfest. I have never in my life been at a gig anywhere so cold. Everyone sitting with coats, hats and scarves on. A major draft blowing through the building - hard to hear the artist with the noise of chattering teeth all around!! Seriously, not a great venue... More

Visited St Werburghs church for a concert performed by Hazel O'Conner as part of the temple bar trad fest. It was AWESOME. The church was GRAND and a real privalage to see one of my all time favourite artist performing in Gods House. The scene was set for a one off oppertunity. Loved the intamcy of it and the autistics... More

If you are visiting Dublin, particularly Dublin Castle and Christchurch Cathedral, you could very well walk very close or past this place, not knowing it could be an item on your Tripadvisor itinerary! An interesting little church, situated opposite a very popular fish and chip shop, Burdocks. So pop in and say a prayer, admire the grand interior and unusual... More

By far, my favorite church in Dublin. It is old and way less glamurous than the nearby super-christchurch, but St Werburgh's is silent and charming, usually not many people visit it.

I visited St Werburgh's while attending a conference in Dublin. What a surprise! A complete 18th century interior, plaster work, pews and galleries intact and a most lavishly carved pulpit. But the fabric is urgent need of help, with obvious problems of settlement and damp penetration. It deserves to be financially supported, restored and loved by future generations.

From the outside St Werburgh's barely looks like a church but venture beyond the gloomy exterior and you are in for a real surprise. St Werburgh's was once the chapel royal and is richly furnished> The amazing pulpit is carved from Irish oak and is the most splendid I've seen anywhere. Inside the front doors are two fire engines dating... More
