Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Reason for my rating is that we went there and lots of park is roped off and all fountains are off. There is some maintenance or repairs going on, but there was no one working. This was a Tuesday around 11AM. I’m sure when the park is fully operational, it is beautiful. I would like to visit during Spring and without construction.
Right now, do waste time going there. There is nothing to see.

Located just few steps away from Stephens Green, Iveagh Gardens is well known park mostly by Dubliners. Hidden in Harcourt street, but very easy approachable from the main street side. Great for outdoor activities, easy walks, or just for having a cup of coffee.

Lovely park! Beautiful waterfall, well kept grassy areas. We had fun going through the maze. The rose garden smelled amazing - the smell wafted up just passing through the paths. Lovely oasis for taking a rest. Many local business people walking through on their lunch hour. I enjoyed it more than St. Stephen’s Green.

A beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Well kept gardens with beautiful water features, we particularly loved the rose garden. Great place for dog walkers or for anyone needing a Moments peace.

When to the "taste of Dublin" in the iveagh gardens on Sunday and left extremely frustrated and disappointed out of pocket.
I had bought 2 tickets for myself and son as it was fathers day and the plan was to spend the day together doing something both of us enjoy which is indulging our love of food. We arrived at the venue expecting alot of venders advertising and selling different styles, types and flavours of food but we disappointed to find stalls that mainly sold alcohol and some with different types of new on the market beer or whiskey.
Apart from two or three live cooking presentations there wasn't alot to enjoy in regards food.
We purchased 20 Florian's when we entered which was equivalent to 20€ and it disappeared quickly due to having to pay for pork belly which cost 7€ and which was no bigger than a boiled egg.
Overall we left unsatisfied and felt ripped off as it cost me 70€ for tickets, parking, and Florian's and had to laugh when we decided to stop at a chipper on way home to get food...😊

Saw Bell X1 here in admittedly great weather for Dublin in any year. Well organised, not too large, comfy and relaxed, pretty park with the gig area enclosed in a valley surrounded by trees. Everyone had a great time.

Was at the comedy festival here and having been to the Dub many times I'd never even knew about this location because of the more than obvious St Stephens Green ! Lovely spot and very secluded as others have said.

Beautiful small park very close to St Stephen's but difficult to find!
It is located behind National Concert Hall, but when we got to the NCH we didn't see any entrance, we kept walking and found nothing of course (frustration). There should be a sign for the entrance to the gardens! We returned to St Stephen's Green Street (Lower I think) turned left to Harcourt St. and tried the Clonmel St entrance (an alley actually). Success!
I liked the small waterfall and the pond with the statue, the tranquility and the bright green (sunny day)...

It is like walking into a beautiful dream with the sound of the rushing cascade, the romantically ruined statues, and surprising vistas each time you turn a corner. Especially if you're going into tourist overload, this place will refresh your spirits with its rose garden, maze, fountains, and ducklings.

I'm attending the Kaleo concert next Sunday and was wondering could we bring folding chairs of some sort?
Written 30 June 2023
Probably not. At a recent concert, these were not allowed. You will need to check for sure with the promoter - it will probably be on the ticket or their web site.
Written 18 July 2019
Yes there is parking in College of Surgeons car park, Brown Thomas Car park and Trinity Car Park. These are all close by and can be searched under QPARK on the web or parkrite.

attending burt bacerack concert on 20/7 i would like to know if this concert is seating or standing thank you
Written 25 February 2019
I am not sure what they would do for a concert. Based on my own observation they would probably cover the grass for sure and maybe the pathways with some type of cover to protect them. It would be advisable to wear comfortable shoes if it is a standing room concert. Based on the actual gardens it should be a fantastic time. We loved the uniqueness of the Iveagh Gardens.
