Not much left of the Original Castle. It is certainly not the place of war and defense it once was. However, there was a very nice exhibit of modern art there in September 2018, which was worth to visit.More

A hidden gem and an oasis of peace. We had a very enthusiastic and informative guide who made the tour very enjoyable. There is lots to see here including a beautiful garden. Great value for money and I would highly recommend a visit.

We had the best tour with outlr guide. You can tell that she has a love for the castle and is excited to share it with visitors. We didn't want to leave! There are all kinds of quirky staircases that you get to to explore...More

Very historical, beautiful castle, you will like the garden too! Inside of garden, there are historical museum that is free to see it. Real Irish history you would like to see, must go!!

Well you learn something new everyday..I had not heard of Uber before. I drove there myself. It is a short tour around the castle. It's lovely but I think getting the Luas or a bus would be cheaper.

Yes, we paid after the tour. I think it was about 4.50 euros per person. They do have a website and you can get more detailed info there.

Yes there is free off street parking available. If for any reason you cannot access the parking (if the gate is closed) you can park in the nearby Aldi supermarket carpark.
