Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum are both the guardians and storytellers for over 1.5 million people. From the ordinary to the truly extraordinary, these people helped shape the Ireland of today. We want to share their stories and times with you through tours of the cemetery, a visit to the museum or through a genealogy search for your family history.

We are a not-for-profit organisation and all proceeds are used to sustain and improve our cemeteries to ensure they are places of beauty, interest and intrigue.

Really worth a visit if you are interested in historical names that shaped Ireland., Daniel OConnell, Parnell etc. There are excellent tour guides and a good cafe so it makes a very pleasant day out especially on a dry day. Next door to the Botanic gardens too.

The museum is a little dull, but the walking tour of the cemetery is fascinating, everyone should do it. You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy it. I have visited many times, with my friends, with young chlldren and with teenagers.

Very interesting tour. Our tour guide was also excellent. He clearly had a great depth of knowledge of the history of the cemetery and those buried there and also had plenty of funny anecdotes.

The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. You get to see parts of the cemetery that you normally wouldn't.

The tour guide was excellent he was full of relevant information and the grounds were in great condition a credit to the staff. Really was a tremendous experience, the mixture of the group shows the appeal Glasnevin Cemetery has not just on us the Irish but right across the globe for those of Irish descent. The history of the place... More

Had a most pleasant day here with friends. The tour was excellent and very well conducted by our very young and friendly guide. I would recommend this tour to everyone, very good value also. Liam Rourke

I visited Glasnevin twice & took the guided tour on each occasion. I also visited the museum while there. The tour gives the visitor a history of the great figures who influenced the development of the Irish Republic from Daniel O'Connell (you get to touch his coffin) to Michael Collins( beautifully tended grave) and many more political heavyweights who are... A must do if you have any interest in Irish History. Loved this tour as it provided a real glimpse into Dublin. its characters, gossip of the ages all combined with a real sense pride. Highly recommended. And they run tours for the littles ones in the family especially at Halloween. Good value too.

A well organised and laid out visitor centre with interactive history lessons for all ages. Then on to a guided Cemetery tour where the great majority of Irelands most famous deceased are buried. The guides were pleasant and well informed making this interesting for kids and grown ups alike. Although my slightly ghoulish kids love the whole idea of cemeteries... More

Did the tour with 16 year old daughter rather than the usual shopping days out. It was a lovely place to visit ,the tour guides are exceptionally gifted with fact and humour .
