Don't make a special trip, but, stop in if you are in the area. The building is a functioning bank, and within the building is the room that once served Ireland's House of Lords. It also displays the mace used by the House of Commons....More

I have to say that this reminded me slightly of the Bank of England building in London. The trouble is that the image they give and the reality of the situation are not always the same thing.

Be honest about it: the simple staring out of a car can work very relaxing on the quiet mind when you see the architectural building of the bank of Ireland on the background.

The Bank of Ireland is an interesting spot because inside it, the Irish who worked for Irish independence, worked hard and has no windows because of it. cool

Check out the bullet holes in the pillar outside, before walking in to admire the lovely architecture here. It won't take long and my American cousins thought it a beautiful historical building. Enjoy!

The architecture inside and out is something to see. A lot of history and very interesting with no admission fee.

If passing pop in and look at the old House of Lords. Free. Lovely old room of great historic importance. Many famous people have entered here. Shame to miss it if you are nearby.

It's a nice looking bank, in a building with an interesting history. But, in the end, it's just a architecturally interesting bank. Worth a quick peek inside, if you're in the area. But not worth a special trip.
