Great Bacon Experience.

Finally got here to see the studio and wasn't disappointed. However the viewing windows could be bigger. Glad to see the Krug boxes still in situ!

I popped in because I recognised it from the last time I was in Dublin about 20 years ago and found it was the only place around to shelter from torrential rain. Just like back then, there's nothing that particularly stands out outside that says what it is. It was only when the hop-on, hop-off bus driver said what it... More

Lovely gallery. We visited to see the Francis Bacon studio and it was well worth it. Not sure how he ever found anything.

Several works by the "masters". Also the studio of James Joyce, which was very interesting! Free, which is always nice.

A charming, free gallery. I was surprised that there were few other visitors. Their collection runs from traditional to modern works. I enjoyed the display of Life & Time Magazines.

We decided on a whim to stop here after visiting the Garden of Remembrance. It is in a building just north of the Garden and very non-descript from the exterior. It was quite unusual and really very interesting. The various works of art that are part of Hugh Lane's collection are shown in various rooms. Quite an impressive collection that... More

A beautiful museum, which is not too big, but has very good items. Love the Bacon workshop, the modern and classical art. The staff was friendly as well.

It took us about an hour to tour this gallery. It has an amazing Renoir with a very interesting story. I didn't expect it to have so many great paintings. The building itself is gorgeous - and like all things educational, it is free is Dublin to view the exhibit.

Frequent visitor. Permanent exhibition of Francis Bacon's studio is just brilliant. Some great exhibitions include two of my all times favourites: Sir John Lavery: Passion and Politics and the recent "High Treason" about Roger Casement. Great café in basement, good food and friendly service. Overall well worth a visit if you have an interest in art.

Once you have found it, well worth the effort. Fabulous mix of art as well as the studio mock up and good shop too.
