Will be in Uk for about 2 weeks. Would a car ferry trip to Dublin for two days be a good idea? How would one go about arranging a trip and which ferry would me best? Thanks for any help!

For a 2 day trip in 2 weeks stay, I'd recommend to fly to Dublin. Plenty airports to go from in Uk. Cheap. Ferry expensive.
