This highly interactive and spectacular visitor attraction focuses on the 1916 rising, the aftermath of this rebellion and also how Ireland has developed since. This little known museum is well worth visiting. Located in the historic GPO it tells the history of the 1916 Uprising. Very interesting.

There is a lot to read, however the video reconstruction was excellent. The video displays were very detailed and were too long. A must stop on a 1916 history tour.

I did not know anything about the uprising, before I visited this museum. The exhibits were very interesting, the movie was very helpful. I came away with appreciation and insight into this aspect of Irish history. Worth a visit if you are in Dublin.

We knew that we'd have to visit this attraction but had no idea of the level of impact it would have on us. The interactive components truly heightened our awareness and understanding of (some of) the issues in nineteenth century Ireland. This museum along with...More
