Anytime the weather is clear, take a trip and enjoy the wilderness. (Having said that, there is great phone coverage so you can broadcast it when you twist your ankle clambering down the scree...)

Take this road if you are heading west.....be careful driving but it's worth the effort.......beautiful scenery and when you turn that last corner and you see Tory Island in the distance you know you're nearly in Falcarragh

If you feel energetic this is one mountain that the whole family can attempt to climb. Even if you don't make it to the top, the views along the way are fabulous.

We have always seen this mountain as a backdrop to our travels in Donegal and eventually took the opportunity to climb it one clear April day. It took a couple of hours but the view was fantastic at the top.

It was not a very good day weather wise - but we still climbed up to see the views, which all looked the same so we were a bit disappointed. Anyhow you never know till you try.
