National Parks all over Ireland are beautiful and let's you embrace nature a little bit more. Glenveagh is no different. By chance I ended up here after attempting Mount Errigal and the 4km (one way) hike is absolutely worth it. I've seen people using the shuttle busses but I cannot imagine having the same experience taking a bus than taking... More

Went with my husband and 9-month old baby and glad we did because the view was really stunning! The lake, the hills and the castle gardens are amazing. Ideal even for those with babies in a pram as the roads are flat. You can take the bus though if you want. Definitely a must visit in Donegal.

The national park can be visited in a couple of hours or much longer, if desired. There is a bus that can take customers from the visitor center to the lake/castle ( for a fee.) There are beautiful gardens and hiking trails. For an additional fee you can tour the inside of the castle. The cafe should not be missed... More

Glenveagh National Park is a great day out to see beautiful landscapes in Donegal! There is lots to do with miles of paths and gardens. As well as this there is a castle tour which shows the history of the castle and heritage which is brilliant and very realistic. This is great if you want to bring tourists from other... More

found this place quite easily as its well signposted....on arrival because of intermittent rain decided to stay in the car to eat.....the rain passed and we proceeded to take the 4km walk to the castle......there is a bus available for 3 euros I think......the scenery here is second to none.....the walk itself is beautiful and the castle itself is great... I absolutely love Glenveagh National Park. You can take a tour of the park and gardens walk miles of paths through the incredible glacier valley or just sit by the lake and drink in the views. Incredible place! !

Visted Glenveagh National park on a cold sunny March day. The park and castle are both excellent. A shuttle bus will take you to the castle there are lovely themed gardens and you can walk along the lake or go further into the hills and mountains. We walked to the castle and it took around half an hour it is... More

A definitive must for sightseeing. On a good day weatherwise the entire day can be beautifully spent. Great to learn that Greta Garbo stayed here.
