The history of county Clare from prehistoric times to the present. I was pleasantly surprised to find this museum to be as interesting as it was informative. And it is FREE!

The museum is perfect to start your tour of Ireland as it provides information and exhibits that summarize the various changes throughout the many decades of history. Amazing that the admission is free!

Lovely staff that welcomed me and provided great information. The museum has great history about the area and wonderful informative displays. We were allowed to take photos which was extraordinary. Would visit again.

Lovely museum that tells the history of the local area from Neolithic times onwards. The highlight was the oral histories which are really interesting. Entrance is free but be warned that it closes for lunch, which meant that we had to rush the end of...More

I learnt a great deal about the history of Ireland at this museum. It is compact and well displayed. Staff were helpful.

Visited during rainy day Fleadh 2017....very well laid out and some very interesting exhibits especially the Vetterli rifle

Teenagers enjoyed the museum immensely. Some very interesting attractions and we were serenaded with a cattle horn!
