This beach has a totally protected snorkeling cove. It is surrounded by a large rock reef and allows you to snorkle in calm waters.

We were here last October, and loved the time we spent here. The beach was clean, kid-friendly, with a lifeguard, and has this rock wall that breaks the rough waves so you're left with this neat swimming area where you don't have to worry about...More

Don't let it fool you. It is a great snorkelling spot. The north east corner of the rock wall is the best place to checkout.

This park is great for a picnic. They also have outdoor showers. The swim area is protected as water outside can be rough. I give it a 4 star for cleanliness and safety. We prefer a more open beach. This is good for young children.

This park backs the Hilton Garden Inn in Kapaa. It is large, tons of parking, a play structure for the kids, covered picnic tables galore, bbq's, facilities, lifeguards, a safe calm place for the kiddies to swim in and potentially a great beach for the...More

Reading many good reviews, we went to Lydgate Beach Park for snorkeling. What a huge disappointment! The water was so murky, I almost hit a rock with my mask. Maybe it was just bad luck, and I suppose it's a safe place to go swimming...More
