Lydgate was a beautiful stop for us and our first venture into the Hawaiian waters. With a hurricane well out into the ocean, it has brought about some pretty dangerous surf so the beaches were closed to swimming HOWEVER, Lydgate has man-made pools of water,...More

This is a great place for families and children for picnics and football toss. Not a beach day here but beautiful none the less.

Was right next to our hotel, so very convenient. Has a protected swimming area, as well as some fun wave action.

Very cool place. We had fish swimming between our legs ! This is one of the best swimming spots on the island. The waters are very calm due to the barrier that was erected in the 60s. Check it out.

This is definitely a well used State Park with amenities for every one. The sport fields, playgrounds, covered pavilions, lifeguards and restrooms make it more than a popular calm beach. The play bridge is a unique and fun feature with "look outs" to view the...More
