Snorkelled at Poipu Beach, Anini Beach, Kiahuni Beach and went to Lydgate three times during our 11 days. Reef makes it very safe, lots of fish and plenty of variety. Shallow area is on the right side. Near the reef it is shallow again but...More

Lydgate beach is usually crowded. There is a breaker in the ocean so the waves are not as bad as other east side beaches. There are bathrooms and picnic area. Also is a baby beach area for little children. Nice spot to hang out.

Best place for young kids to swim and snorkel. We loved this pool and wished we had stayed longer. Completely enclosed by lava rocks. Fish to snorkel and see.

There’s walled area designated for young kids so no matter how rough the sea is they’re well protected but it gets busy here, too many ppl for my taste.

We loved the beach, but then we couldn't get the kids OFF the play structure! They loved it! However it does need some repairs, and there was an alarming number if cigarette butts at the bottom of the volcano slide.

Two fun, massive playgrounds. The newer one has nice places to sit for adults and is surrounded by more trees, I like this one better. Clean and not too crowded here....then again I went on a weekday.
