Steeped in history this house on the the top of Dumbarton ,been taking over so many times over the years,but best rememberd as a Maternity hospital ,lovely building ,with the a great walk attached to the craggs ..and the creepy dog bridge of course .

Old house,lovely grounds,Tea room,nice walks,Just keep your dog's on the lead as you cross the bridge as for some unexplained reason dogs have been known to jump over it ,yes as Isay " CREEPY"

I have walked in the excellent grounds of Overtoun House all of my life. There are numerous routes in and around the House, stout footwear is recommended there can be muddy bits. I haven't been into the tearoom in the House but, I am told...More

Visited Overtoun House on Saturday for a walk round the grounds with the kids. Stopped into the tearoom for bit of lunch, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Grounds are beautiful to walk round, kids loved exploring in the woods.
