Car park, soft white sand, rocks to explore, sheep on the cliff edges & easy for toddlers to have fun at. In early June the water was extremely calm and my 1 year old had no trouble paddling. Beautiful place.

Too many dogs ensured no sea birds on the shore. One mother had to use some wet wipes we had to clean up her two year old. The white sand is made up of mashed up shells (calcareous) and to the rear grass has grown...More

While camping my way around Mull & Iona stumbled across this gem. We actually rounded a corner in the car & Calgary bay came into view.....it literally took my breath away. We were there in late May & as luck would have it, the weather...More

OK so most of Mull is single track roads, but Calgary Bay is well worth the trip as part of a circuit from Tobermory. Sandy idyllic bay at the far west of the UK. And just before you get there visit the quirky Sculpture Coffee...More

such a beautiful beach - long, clean, fine sand - we'd heard it was lovely but it surpassed my expectations. Well worth a visit. We were there on a fine, sunny day in April (which was a bonus) I imagine getting there on a hot...More

Came across this lovely bay. We went for a windswept walk around the cliffs. Apparently there is a ruined settlement just above the bay, but we missed this. Week worth a visit.

Nice clean beach which isnt big as its all in a bay. Plenty of sea birds and children would enjoy climing on the rocks and going in the rock pools. Good walk from here round the head land. Tea shop just up the road with...More

Yes OK to have dogs on the beach but remember there are often sheep nearby and we witnessed a dog running loose and chasing a couple of dozen sheep for their lives. One sheep only managed to escape by diving into the sea... More
