Many just visit thinking it has some religious relevance and spoil the place. No god lives there. Hardly any nature lover to be seen. Too many vehicles are allowed inside. Very less respect shown towards the nature.

One night is enough. But if you came early, you can leave before getting dark.Travel time from Matale take 01 hour.(CAR NOT RECOMMENDED) THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST

get a bus to wattegama or Elkaduwa. Elkaduwa is the best option. if you took wattegama you have to catch Elkaduwa bus again. you can't reach the lake by bus. more than 2-3km walk or taxi
