A fine piece of old Ayr history in Ayrshire worth a look when it's open or even just to read the signs around the garden when walking through could do with the council giving it a clean up around the garden and glass wall area was here 8/7/15

I must admit I have never been inside yet, but this is the oldest house in the town. Mary, Queen of Scots is reported to have visited this. It is often used for weddings and special occasions. But if you are interested in historical things, then it will be worth the visit

Spent a very enjoyable evening in the company of Robert Burns, Tam o'Shanter and Kirkton Jean. Wonderful historic building and well looked after by the trust.

Was there as part of the Burns Festival as an audience member, hope to take my own show there in 2013 - a lovely wee venue!
