We visited the distillery with 2 who loved whisky and 2 who didn't. As one who wasn't a fan of whisky the tour guide, Derrick, still made it fun and interesting. He really made the tour in our eyes as he was knowledgeable and engaging - thank you for a great trip!

The visit was reasonably priced (£7.50) and you got a discount voucher towards the price of a bottle of Whisky in the attraction shop. Derek (the guide) was a fun guy and regaled us with a lot of interesting facts and history on the production of whisky. Well worth the £7.50. I fully recommend a visit here if you are... More

Interesting tour of the Blair Athol Distillery. The group was only 6 people because of the time of year but it made the tour more interesting and relaxed. Enjoyed 4 samples of the whisky produced there with good descriptions and explanations from our guide Derrick. A good fun afternoon.

Staying in Pitlochry we decided to visit the Blair Athol distillery. On arrival we received a warm welcome and being early had time to visit the shop before starting our tour.Derrick our guide was very conversant with all the making of our favourite drink which in itself was quite amazing for an Englishman(beware of Nicola).Despite the distillery being down for maintenance... We found it so interesting and can highly recommend it.We were shown around by the lovely Karen and were very impressed by her knowledge, the stills were shut down due to a new one being installed, she took us through the full procedure and the time just... I had a fantastic time touring the distillery with Diana last week. They still ran the tour even though I was the only person there at the time, and were nice enough to watch my backpack while I was on the tour. (I walked to the distillery from the train station, and took a short detour up to the Black... More

If you want a great distillery tour put Blair Athol at the top of your list! Derrick was tremendously knowledgeable about the distillery industry, it's history and operations and he brought a great sense of humour to the tour that made it most enjoyable. We had a great time! Highly recommend. Derrick will not disappoint you!

Diana the tour guide was superb, gave us a great understanding of Scottish single malt and blended whisky, especially at one of the most iconic distilleries and took her time to make sure we had a lovely time, thoroughly enjoyable. Fantastic value for money too, almost getting the entrance fee back in discount in the shop. Highly recommend it if... More

Excellent, I am new to Whisky but the tour helped me understand the process & history. Diana was our tour guide and she was amazing. Every single question could be answered and she made it fun and interesting. Loved it and the wee dram at the end which helped me taste and smell why I've come to love whiskey.
