The Pitlochry Festival Theatre is located in the shadow of the Hydroelectric Dam and power station . The theatre has a cafe and gift shop and provides gallery space for a variety of artwork. The views from the comfortable break out area are fab. We visited last Friday night and joined a sell out crowd to watch the Johnny Cash... More

Fabulous theatre by the the river Tyne, Pitlochry. The play, Carousel, was superbly executed. Pitlochry also features a huge hydro-electric dam with its famous fish ladder to get the salmon up the river for spawning, avoiding the dam. There are windows set in the side of the ladder to view the fish! Fantastic.

My daughters took me to see the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parten tribute act. We were lucky to have seats in row B so felt it was a very intimate show. As the rows are tiered however there is good visibility from all seats. There are also plenty of toilets so unlike many larger theatres you do not have to... More

Hi, the size of our auditorium does lend itself to this sort of event. It is small enough to give that feeling of intimacy, yet big enough to create a fabulous atmosphere. Thank you for your review. More

Hi, we deliberately try to stock the shop with quirky products that appeal because they are different and not over priced. The shop continues to be a tremendous success. Thank you for your review and we hope to see you again soon. Please check out our website for details of our program of events. More

We popped into the theatre to have a look at their lunch menu prior to visiting the new dam visitor centre. We were surprised by the number of people inside and learned it was their Winter of Words weekend where authors give talks on their books and give you the chance to have a book autographed by them afterwards. It... More

We visit Pitlochry every December for a family get together and we always go to The Pitlochry Festival Theatre on the Saturday for the matinee performance. It is truly the start of our Christmas celebrations and we always look forward to it and have never been disappointed. The theatre is in a fabulous location and is in itself a lovely... More

After coming from the salmon leap, my husband and I stopped here for a light lunch and to catch our breath from the cold. The chips we had were very nice. There are other options of food on the menu. Inside the festival theatre apart, from the restaurant, is the theatre it's self. (check website for more details of shows).... More

We were lucky to get tickets for the last Scrooge performance on December 23rd and were not disappointed. The production with its special effects, performers, costumes and decoration is highly professional. The performers seemed to have fun on stage! We were so happy to have had the chance to see it. It is a "must-see" if you are in the... More

Hi, Scrooge was truly magnificent and certainly very popular and it is good to know you got the chance to see it. Our summer 2017 musical is 'High Society' which promises to be 'swellegant' and then our winter musical is 'Singin' in the Rain', another one not to be missed. We hope to see you again soon. More

Lovely "theatre in the hills", where we visited two performances in a single day. The large musical productions are as good and entertaining as anywhere else, and the repertory company clearly have great fun. Must-see.

Hi, our actors always have a great time as, in our summer program, each actor takes part in up to 4 performances in repertoire. This means they play different parts daily which is both challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Our Summer 2017 program is out and promises to be fabulous as ever. Thank you for your review and we... More
