Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed one night at Boath house after a long day riding our motorcycle in the rain, we arrived to Nairn in the dry, were shown to our room which was very classy, luxurious room. Over looking the front of the hotel, very nice. We had made our booking through booking.com which had made a mistake and the hotel manager was very helpful and re-arranged a room for us. I would recommend anyone to contact the hotel directly rather than us a web site booking service. All the staff at the hotel are very helpful.
We had the six course meal and it was absolutely fantastic. Could not fault the service, food, welcome, the garden's are just amazing to wonder round at your leisure.
The hotel has some beautiful art and is all round a very relaxed place to be. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

I treated myself and a friend to the renewal package and afternoon tea. We called the day before to say we wanted to change the package from a facial and massage to a wrap and massage, we were told that that was ok. We arrived the next day and the beauty therapists didn't know about the call, she told me briefly that working on 2 full body treatments is difficult, she wasn't very clear, took us to rooms and proceeded with wrap treatment, once done she asked us to get dressed at this point I said what about the massage, she then told us she couldn't do both on same day, we had booked for 2hrs of pampering so we're not pleased to find we only got one treatment the fact that we didn't get offered which treatment that we would prefer, I would of had the massage as my friend would have also, or offered to get another treatment in its place such as a manicure or pedicure! The beauty room was also freezing cold on arrival and throughout. As a result of this we received our afternoon tea complimentary, this in no way makes up for us missing out on pampering time. Food and service upstairs was great. Although the cake on the menu did not match the one that we got, it was lovely though!

We had a spa day at Boath House Hotel including a 3 course lunch. When we arrived we had to wait ages for anyone to speak to us and were eventually seated in the drawing room and waited again for too long. The facial, massage and exfoliation were incredibly hard and almost painful rather than relaxing. Then we had lunch but unfortunately a green bug crawled across my husbands main meal plate! Apologies came from the chef but there was no discount of the bill, not even a free coffee which cost £4.50 for 1 cup. The day in total cost £375.00 and we left at 2pm. Certainly not value for money and not at all worth it.

We stayed at Boath House one night and had a wonderful time. The owners are very friendly and made us feel at home. A lovely soup and sandwich lunch was served in the sitting room. Our room no. 8 was lovely. Very nicely decorated, large room with a bath tub in the middle of the room, flat screen tv, large double bed, sitting area, orangerie with dining table, separate toilet. Although the room is below the main building the attached orangerie let's enough light into the room for it to be very pleasant. The room and public areas were very clean which cannot be said of many hotels. The food was excellent and served by very friendly staff. Dinner (5 course set menu) and breakfast were included in the price of our package. It was excellent quality, but it came at a price! Although everything in the UK is quite expensive with the current exchange rate ($). Would love to go back.

I was taken here by my partner for my Christmas present. I had heard very positive things about it from friends who had visited and was not at all disappointed. It is a lovely, exclusive hotel with very high quality food and service. Our room, number 3, was exceptional in all ways.

Took my wife here for birthday lunch. The staff are very attentive, not over bearing and extremely professional. Dietary requirments all catered for, just let them know in time. Coffee was allowed in the lounge after walking our lunch off with a walk around the lake. Beautiful surroundings. The food is exquisite and many local ingredients used. A special place for romance or massage treats. Not for the faint hearted price wise, but excellent value for money.
