Lived in Inverness for 13 years, and spent many a happy afternoon just browsing for books! Formerly the Old Gaelic Church in the Old Town, it seems to be a mecca for book worms! I'm sure most toursts would miss it and not peek in...More

Leakey’s Bookshop is absolutely fantastic. They have a huge number of books, in great conditions, of all sort of subjects. Their old prints collection is also incredible, a must-go in Inverness.

I came for the antique prints but they have so much more. The antique prints of places, maps, etc. oh man I wish my suitcase could have fit more. Good prices and interesting subjects. The books, well, there's a lot to choose from. The ambiance...More

I loved this little bookstore! Because we were traveling we didn't want to buy heavy items, but we had fun looking around and then ended up buying 3 beautiful antique prints (etchings) two of which were of places we visited on our trip to Scotland....More

If you want stacks and stacks of old books, this is the place. Wood floors, wood stacks, and lots of old books separated (somewhat) by topic. For a history buff or librarian, this is a great place to go to find something well out of...More

For any book lover, Leakey’s bookshop is a must on your trip to Inverness. Set inside a historic church, this revitalization of space is awesome. Wall to ceiling books and more books. You can smell the age of some of these tomes. I held a...More

I visited Leakey's twice during my visit to Inverness. The amount of books in that place is astonishing, you could literally spend hours in the there. I found the pricing of the books to be a bit on the expensive side of things. Additionally, I...More

Recommended for book lovers, might just stumble across something that interests you. There were many books on Scotland. Just a short walk from the train station.

I been in some book shops in my time but this was amazing. Everything you ever wanted. The only problem was that while books were broken down into categories/genres etc that ended the sorting. They were just random on the shelves which mean stuff could...More

Rhonda, I've personally no idea if Leakey's has it. My best guess is to contact them via e-mail or phone (try +44 1463 239947 on the phone). Given my (rather short) experience I'm sure you'll get a quick answer from them. I... More
