If you love books this had to be a priority stop off for your visit to Inverness. Set in an old church the shelves are stacked floor to ceiling of second hand books of all genres. Warmed by a log burning stove you can literally spend hours in here looking for every kind of literature.

Not many books by Eastern philosophers, not much... More

We spent a few hours in here whilst it was snowing outside. The blazing log fire is an incredible source of heat and adds something very special to the experience searching through the tens of thousands of books.

It's a former church and the place is illed with all sorts of books on two levels. That gives it a certain charm however the thing... More

The husband and I spent some time here and it was great! Reminds me of the wand shop in Diagon Alley... stacks of books impossibly high everywhere. Loved the atmosphere, the warm fire, and the selections.

Went here because we are both book lovers. We were awe-struck as we went inside: an actual fire was roaring while stacks upon stacks of books and 2 floors' worth of book-cases filled to the brim rested in the shop. We were home. Browsed for about an hour and decided that most of the books exceeded our budget. Settled on... More

I stopped in on a rainy morning and found a cozy fire and and an inviting store. I spent over an hour browsing and contemplated buying more luggage for my journey home so that I could buy all of the treasures I found,

Marvelous place, in an old building, completely covered with books. It has a fireplace. I could spend hours there.
