Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You can't go in, but the building is very beautiful. Its at the heart of the city Inverness and very eye catching.

Amazing building to behold. Passed here on quite a few occasions and never tired of stopping to look at the wonderful design and features of this truly awesome structure.

This is a really detailed town house. It has some information boards about hoe the design came into action eg: the wolves and how they were once in the Highlands.

Gorgeous architecture. Great photo op as well when you are in the city centre. They sometimes have events such a Ceilidh that are open to the public.

Been a while since we have been here, so many changes, so many places closed down, cannot believe how many Turkish Barber shops are in the town, how many do you need?? The town is still reasonably clean and a joy to walk round

I am in the fortunate position of being in the Town House fairly regularly and have been for many years. Externally, the Town House has undergone a face lift and is looking magnificent. Inside, the main hall and the Council Chambers are both worth visiting for both their historic significance and the aesthetically pleasing appearance

Did a tour of the town house today. Great guides , they made the visit both interesting and entertaining. It is a beautiful building and the restoration work is being done very sensitively. Lots of original features. My personal favourite was the council chamber which is still in use and has retained all the original features and incorporated modern technology discretely
. A good place to visit , took about an hour, quite a lot of stairs and would probably be a bit boring for children .

In the process of refurbishment, with its façade all clean and fresh, the Town House is now offering tours for a limited number of people of a Thursday afternoon for which advance booking is recommended.

This fine and unexpected Flemish-baronial building was built between 1878 and 1882 to the designs of local architect William Laurie, has been the location of many historic events including the famous cabinet meeting that agreed the split of southern Ireland away from the United Kingdom, and has slendid interiors that are well worth visiting.

We spent a great deal of time here admiring the outside of the building as the beginning of our self-guided walking tour through Inverness thanks to Rick Steves' book. My kids enjoyed the wolves and the mercat cross.

interesting building but it was Sunday and there was no way to get inside. There are wolves by the door and a board telling in Gaelic and English the history of the wolves.
