Love this area of Scotland and especially the Rothiemurcus estate. This is the first time I have tried clay pigeon shutting and loved it! It is a little expensive for the silver experience (gold better value) but was worth it just for the setting and the patient instruction from Simon who definitely helped be get the most from the experience,... Came here today for a walk round and to investigate what was available for future days here..... Walked from aviemore to here, only about 15 mins so easy enough, there's so much to do and something for everyone that you'd be hard pushed to be bored. We decided to have a quick brew in the visitor centre cafe, very very... More

Very picturesque setting. Caravans, motorhomes and tent pitches are suurounded by forest. One of the smartest shower and toilet blocks I've seen on a campsite anywhere. Would recommend.

The cafe is splendid. We had two lovely healthy lunches here. Very generous portions of delicious salad along with our panini. We were also tempted back for extremely tasty scones and good jam with excellent coffee. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The cafe was warm and bright. There is lots of parking.

Stopped at the Rochiemurchus Visitor Centre for a cappuccino and fruit scone as recommended by a friend. The cappuccino had proper "flake" on top and the fruit scone was simply delicious; so much more than raisins and sultanas. All served with a warm smile and the roaring log fire was most welcome after a walk in the winter sun!

We booked for our very shy daughter to try the short visit to stables and pony ride: I mention shy because it can sometimes become quite a task for her to relax and enjoy any experience when she is not comfortable. We were very lucky for a few reasons, it was the end of the day and quiet, I believe... More

In addition to the awesomeness of Glenmore and Loch Morlich, theres the Rothiemurchus estate and facilities. As you travel up towards Loch Morlich, you pass the cafe, clay shooting ground, the go-ape facility, there's a lovely camp-site in the woods on the right. All around and extending from the Glenmore forest tracks there are really ace walks and mountain bike... More

Great session for clay pigeon shooting with six different targets and excellent guns. Maria, our instructor was fantastic and all, my, wife son and myself hit many targets (not to brag too much but I got all six targets at the side flying stand :-) ). All of us loved the experience! Thank you Maria!
