This place is like many an agricultural property, held together in some places by chewing gum, balining wire, and bits of string. Don't let that deter you though. Fiona and Alan Stewart really love their docs, and sledding, and their whole lives - and that of their son John in far away USA orbit around dogs, dog training, competition. Fiona... More

What an amazing experience - so nice to see dogs and their owners so dedicated to each other and enthusiastic about what they do. Fiona was delightful and very helpful in accommodating the mobility needs of one member of our party who otherwise would have been unable to join us. Alan was so knowledgeable about the dogs and history of... More

We went on the kennel visit and museum tour one afternoon. Most people were there for the Sleddog ride/experience but we were more interested in photograhing & videoing the dogs - especially when they were pulling the sled. Allan was clearly very passionate about the dogs and his enthusiasm shone through. Fiona was equally dedicated and caring and we had... More

I visited the Centre yesterday and had a thoroughly fantastic time. Fiona and Allan's enthusiasm and knowledge were inspirational and the dogs were amazing! The journey through the forest with the dogs was definitely the highlight of an experience which was worth every minute of the drive up from Glasgow!

We went on the kennel visit and museum tour. Great comms with Fiona beforehand to set up the visit and it was an interesting and thorough talk by Alan on the history of sledding and his families part in that. After that it was wonderful to see the red dog team set off on a training run and then to... More

We had a very interesting morning with Fiona and Alan as we heard about the history of sled dogs, their breeding and sled dog racing before meeting the lovely bunch of sled dogs that are so much a part of the Stewart family. They range from young dogs in the early stages of training through to retired veterans who remain... More

If you want an insight in to the history of working sled dogs and the reality of training and racing sled dogs, then we cannot recommend this highly enough. We were there with our 14 and 16 year old boys and as teenagers, it can be hard to impress them but they loved it. They are adventurous types anyway but... More

I bought this for my boyfriends birthday present, we both loved the day despite the cold - thankfully there was some snow left! Everyone including the dogs were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for making us welcome and our day special, from Charlotte & Be

On arrival we were warmly welcomed and that was a theme that continued throughout the day. We were lucky enough to visit in January during some heavy snow so the conditions were ideal for a sleddog safari and the views were nothing short of stunning. We were told early on that "This won't be the Disney version" and it didn't... More
