Books from floor to ceiling, with lots of interesting stuff and at very low prices. We wandered out again with four bags of books and wallet only a little lighter. I could have stayed longer and probably caused more book avalanches but we reached what...More

Students, authors, journalists, book collectors and general browsers make up the kind of variety of people who come into the shop. Its a fantastic honeyhole, with an vast selection of books, be ready to dig. All at excellent prices!

The photos give you a good clue what it is like. There are a lot of books and one of the loveliest, friendliest booksellers you will ever meet.

You really don't see bookshops like this any more! Slightly off the beaten track, and not somewhere to negotiate if you have a lot of bags with you - books are crammed and piled into every available space. There is a general order, though you...More

I cannot help returning because everyday I discover "new" old books that are dug from the bottom of each of the stacked heaps of titles. A must for old book lovers.

At first sighting, it appears as a total mess. Piles of books, many of them antique, with apparent scant attention to categorising the piles that confront one. But after the first shock one gets used to it and the store draws one in - just...More
