Venue was ok, sound was ok. Drinks prices expensive £4.50 for a sommersby £4.20 for a carlsberg. Venue is in city centre and there are plenty of bars and spoons nearby. Would visit again but definitely would advise pre-drinking!

I've been here for numerous gigs and although they always had to stop for 10pm, they were all great shows.

This former cinema now provides a more intimate atmosphere for musical acts than some of the larger venues in town. It has a capacity of around 1500 and is not to be confused with the O2 Academy at the other end of the city centre. We got on-street parking a block away from the building for a couple of pounds... Went to see The Shires here last night, my wife is semi-disabled and needs to use a wheelchair a lot now, so it's always with a bit of trepidation that we book to go to a venue we don't know. Needn't have worried, having contacted them in advance we are now on their register, so on arrival we were taken... More

An okay good venue, and an excellent concert, pity about the disabled access and viewing facilitues for people who cannot stand up. Sound quality fantastic, staff friendly and helpful. But basically its either walk, drag yourself up the stairs on your knees/bottom, or don't see anything at all.

Attended here recently for a concert. I found it poorly laid out, bar service was slow as was the queue for the cloak room. Too hot and in need of better ventilation. The band were good but everything else was decidedly average. I'd hate to be in there if there was any sort of evacuation, folk would get crushed...

Been here often but thought I would share and say this is my favourite place for a gig. There is always a good atmosphere with decent acoustics. Only let down is the price of the beer but captive market.

After having got a ticket for Amon Amarth for Tuesday 1st November I received a message informing me that the doors would be opening at 6.30 P.M. rather than 7.00 P.M. Unfortunately I didn't get there until 6.50 P.M only to find the booking office and all the shutters were down so I couldn't get in. 20 minutes for an... More

Absolutely shocking. Bouncer locked me and my friends outside in the smoking area without warning which meant we had to find a way to retrieve our belongings from the cloakroom (which we had paid for). We have been visiting the abc for 4 years and have never had such an appalling experience. Absolutely shocking.

Cracking night out here for the Kaiser Chiefs kicking off their tour. Smaller venue which gives better atmosphere than larger halls or Stadiums. Great layout inside and bar prices were very reasonable comparatively to other venues. Well organised at entry and exit which was trouble/hassle free too. Will be back.
