Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This visit started off for me with a foretaste of things to come, with builders cordoning off the entrance to the Hotel.
We were staying for a combination of our anniversary and my birthday and a supervisor told my wife how she would "look after us for the remainder of our stay" then failed to do anything for us, to be completely honest I'd rather she had not said anything, as total failure to do anything was more noticeable after being promised VIP treatment.
All in all a decidly below average stay.

We had some time to kill after spending the afternoon in a museum. We walked down Sauchiehall Street toward our hotel which was located off Buchanan. At the terminus of Sauchiehall, we came upon a huge multi-level shopping mall with a large selection of boutiques as well as department stores. My wife was ecstatic as she is the consummate shopper. If there is a sale somewhere, she will find it and scope out the merchandise.

While she was “on the hunt,” I sought out a camera store as I had lost my lens cap. Sure enough, there was a Jessop’s nearby and I was able to purchase a replacement. Since image is everything, I spent time perusing the latest upgrades in Nikon and Cannon cameras. Upon reconnecting with Arlee, I found her holding a large shopping bag full of newly purchased items. “They were 60% off; how could I go wrong.” And so goes our trip through the Buchanan Galleries back to our hotel.

Always found this centre quite good but have to say since the pandemic the shop selection is a bit less exciting. Good centre to window shop but nothing really for me to draw me in. Can get better and cheaper elsewhere. A big John Lewis store but some very expensive smaller outlets that don't be really do it for me. At the top of Buchanan Street with large parking

Good mall with decent amount of shops. It will not rival Westfield in London though. Very clean with eateries to have snacks or meals. It was raining when we were in Glasgow so it was a welcome respite to peruse shops ib doors. Ended up buying early Christmas gifts and homewares!

Fairly modern shopping precinct now threatened with demolition.

They have a good range of small independent shops, together with the usual chain stores.

Anytime I have been in it is always busy, but are they buying?

The food court is rather disappointing except for Greggs.

Personally, any trip to Glasgow is rarely without a visit to Buchanan Galleries - plus it’s a good central meeting-up point. A very clean and well cared for centre, with a satisfactory choice of usual mall stores ( plus the iconic John Lewis ) , along with some fairly unique art & local craft shops. There are various coffee & refreshment establishments to choose from, and a top floor of (mostly fast food) eateries. Basically everything under one roof with an adjoining multi-storey car-park. Sadly , the complex is earmarked for demolition beginning this year, with ambitious plans to replace it with an “urban neighbourhood.”

This is a good shopping centre right in the heart of glasgow with plenty of shops such as john lewis, boots and hollister. It is straight across road from the bus station and plenty of parking available too.

i recently went to shop ion glasgow city centre - i live a few miles by bus away from there - had a job to find shop mobility ion this centre as it is not included on the shoppers map and when i eventually found thyem i was upset to find out i could only use the mobility scooter within the centre thereby making my trip impossible. i have never come accross this anywhere else in the uk. the scooters can be alarmed and/or immobilized after a certain amount of mileage to avoid theft. all i could think was about visiting disabled tourists who would not be able to see anything of our fair city except a couple of shopping malls, appalling disabled service
