This is the place to be and to be seen in Glasgow. Great history, nice architecture, plenty pubs and restaurants if you want to eat and drink, or just people watch. Can be a bit expensive, so check prices before you buy.

Very varied selection of cafes and restaurants, especially around Byres Rd. and Ashton Lane area, also close to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow University, Botanic Gardens.

Old and new buildings with Parks and Botanic Gardens for relaxation and colour. Variety of shops and people . There is buzz ....

Walk down the little alley ways off Byres Road... Always a fabulous atmosphere and lots of little bars to pop in to would recommend Booly Mardys on Vinicombe Street nice g&t

fantastic wee shops ,second hand shops too !! great pubs and resturants ive been in most of them not to far from city centre and easy to get to with the u ground

Hi, parking is not easy around the Botanic Gardens. You can park in Byres Road, if you are lucky enough to find a space. Some of the streets off Byres Road have parking meters which sometimes are quiet and very busy at... More

I wouldn't eat or drink in McDonald's as there are numerous coffee shops and tea rooms who would I am sure, make you a hot chocolate drink. We scots you know love to please.

The Oran Mor at the top of Byres Road is probably your best bet.
