We couldn't help but pull over to check out the University. It has stunning old buildings that need a quick look through. It was a Saturday, so plenty of street parking. Everyone inside was so friendly and welcoming. We started by walking into the courtyard. Very pretty and ornate. Sadly the spire is under renovation so it didn't give for... More

The architecture of the main building complex of ancient Glasgow university is worth exploring. The fact that it houses the petite chapel, the Hunterian Musuem and Art Gallery is an added bonus. Every visitor should have their photo taken in the beautiful Cloisters - it's a tourist must.

I was blown away by the magnificence of the architecture. As you walk about the grounds, you are transported back in time (or quite frankly, to Hogwarts). If you are in Glasgow, please please come to the University. I work in higher education, so I always make a point to swing by the great universities when I travel, and this... More

We walked through the university after visiting the Kelvingrove art gallery given their proximity. The architecture of the buildings is wonderful and gave off a very Harry Potter esque vibe especially on a misty Glasgow morning.

Beautiful buildings and views. The Hunterian Museum was fascinating and one could easily spend hours looking at the displays.

My daughter attended the university for a semester so we went to visit her over Thanksgiving break. The university property is impressive and we really enjoyed just wandering around.

Visited here twice. There is a hall which has many arcs where it's perfect to take photo there. There is an area of the campus, near that hall, which we can see some part of Glasgow (nice view BTW). The campus gives a sort of Hogwarts feeling to me, and well it's lovely in short.

This is a must see place. Try to catch the walking tour if possible. Even otherwise this is an excellent place to visit. Some great views of the Kelvingrove and the city.

The main university building is often associated with having a Hogwarts-esque feel to it (due to "Harry Potter" franchise written by the Scottish author, J.K. Rowling). The University of Glasgow prides itself on being a historical academic institution that produce only the best - therefore, the grandeur of this establishment often rubs off on staff and can make interacting with...
