A nice relaxed environment for young children to have fun ...Equipment is well maintained ...only downside is what looks like a carpet covering the ground I realise that this is to prevent children from nasty scrapes should they fall but it appears to attract wasps!!!!

Yes.... I have to agree that the winter gardens have been sadly neglected. But generally, the park is clean and well-kept. On my visit today, the children's farm was wonderful. Neat and tidy, with the animals friendly, and looking very healthy. It's wonderful to be looking at sheep, and then to turn around and see Glasgow tenements! There isn't a... More

Tollcross Park is in the East End of Glasgow and can be accessed through various gates in Tollcross and Shettleston. It is famous for it's Rose Garden which has regularly won the International Rose Garden Championship, the Winter Gardens and Children's Zoo. It is also next to Tollcross International Swimming & Leisure Centre.

Having been born and brought up in the East End of Glasgow, I was curious to visit Tollcross Park and I really wanted to like it. Having parked the car a bit away, my wife and I decided to take a short walk to have a closer look at a couple of interesting looking buildings - Shettleston Library (quite impressive)... More

Visited this lovely park today when it was bathed in sunshine and just before the rose trials. The rose garden was magnificent and the surrounding grounds beautifully prepared for visitors. The park is a jewel in the East End with lots of walks and the Children's Farm and Visitor Centre are well presented. The once magnificent Winter Garden is a... More

Travelled from the south side of Glasgow to visit tolcross park with 6 excited kids who all wanted to find the secret garden only to be told by the park keepers that it had been destroyed and there was currently a gang of Ned's in it hurling abuse at people including the two poor guys just doing their jobs, they... Joined a walking group and we walk around the park which is 2 miles or 2 1/2 miles depends which way you go. We meet up Monday, Wednesday and Friday The flower beds in the park are lovely and well kept. Their is no place in park for tea or coffee but the swimming pool at the end of the... More

Beautiful park, kept clean at all times. Most beautiful especially in spring and summer. Tollcross International Swimming Pools right next to it. Great wee animal farm for young kids.

After walking through this beautiful Park I came across some horrific buildings like the old winter gardens and dressing rooms this kills the enjoyment a little they really should sort them out
