Our guide book recommended it and so we tried it. My husband liked it more than I did and I guess it's very clever just not my thing. It's very different.

Super friendly staff, knowledgable and genuinely passionate about this outstanding collection of work. It's a mesmerising look into a world where folktale, gothic and macabre surrealism meet political expression and engineering.

Going to Sharmanka is a fantastic one-of-a-kind experience! Very artistic, but can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. The music and the moving sculptures tell a different kind of story and it's definitely a place worth visiting, maybe more than once. A hidden gem!

We went for one of the 70 minute shows on the Thursday evening. The artist's life story is very interesting, and the pieces of art work are unique. The mechanical motions complete with the lighting and music made for a memorable evening, although it is very much so modern art. The actual art and presentation of it is difficult to... More

Difficult to describe, each mechanical exhibit comes to life with lights and music and is the work of a Russian artist who came to Glasgow to live and work. The detail in each one is amazing they are made up of everyday objects and wood carvings which work together in a magical and mesmerising way something surprisingly everywhere you look.... More

Brilliant play between the kinetic artworks and the music used the aid the storytelling! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to go somewhere and do something a little different! Well worth the... More

Interesting view on the work of a Russian artist that has settled in Scotland. The different pieces of artwork are all unique. The artist used a whole range of different recycled materials to make a wonderful range of puppets. It is well the £6 admission fee for adults, booking is advisable by either contacting them on the phone during a... More

very atmospheric and engaging - moving works set to lights and music with each one telling a small tale - like mechanical moving stories - good fun - and kids really liked

We had a really interesting time visiting the theatre, hearing about its origins, speaking to the director and experiencing the show. Truly worth experiencing
