The place was quite good, with a few interesting stones and what they call sarcophagus (not really). The tour guy was amazing super friendly and well informed. You should be careful of the area though, as you will see a lot of junkies around.

We spent more than an hour wandering round the old church exploring the 31 monuments and the early medieval sculpture. Also the Viking hogback stones and the Govan Sarcophagus which is amazing.

The church is quite hidden, but not hard to find. However, you can walk past it and never notice. Anyway, the church itself really spacious and cozy. And it also has a collection of archeological stones. The church is near the subway station, so you...More

Home of the legendary hogbacks - a couple of which were borrowed by the British Museum in London for a recent exhibition. Stunning stained glass, rich in history. Tour guides are vounteers who have a wealth of knowledge- brilliant visit!

Well worth a visit the church is really quite nice but the stone carvings are the really good part. The statues are really amazing and you could easily miss this place. Also worth watching the time team episode about the stones.

This is a beautiful old church situated in Govan on the south side of the Clyde. It has featured in Time Team and the Hog Back stones found in the church ground can be seen inside the church.

Visited last year when the Govan stones were on show. Such an amazing find. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and the stones breathtaking. The church itself now houses two denominations which was interesting and the marble scarsophogous another key point.

The church is very close to the bus station and subway yet could easily missed, and seems not to have the visitor numbers it deserves. The church building and contents have a substantive place in the history of Govan and the city. The stones are...More

I had gone for a lovely walk along the Clydeside expressway and came across the Zaha Hadid designed building "The Riverside Museum". What a fantastic shaped building, incorporating the river and the buildings use. The Museum itself was also interesting with lots of well displayed...More
