This is a new one on me for Trip Advisor, reviewing a hospital! The Royal as it is known is old, dirty and with quite a history which is fairly untold. Needs a good clean up and should be restored to a beautiful historic building and its story told. Interesting architecture

An unbelievable hospital steeped in tradition and one of the best plastic surgery units in the World. As a honorary trainee I am obviously biased but having trained in three different world class units got to give it to Canniesburn - truly special and world class plastic surgery centre of excellence !

My husband was recovering in ward 62 from a new hip (Gordon Bell) can't thank the staff enough they were spot on with everything. Couldn't do enough for him to make his stay as comfortable as possible....he had no complaints either ! These staff are worth there weighed in gold...thankyou from the Mr & Mrs Bell ....

As hospitals go it's fairly reliable, busy and has a range of services for staff, patients and visitors. Staff are under pressure and very pressed for time as can be expected but are helpful and courteous. Waiting times for patients are honest but beat in minds it's a busy hospital. The older let can be hard to navigate in comparison... More

Sadly, we had to visit the hospital while in Glasgow because my daughter had tonsillitis. While it took 3 hours total, the staff and doctors were very kind. Having visited emergency rooms in the United States, I will say that this experience was similar, but there is no cost. We left with a diagnosis and meds. I hope you won't... More
