I visited the Mosque with friends as it was participating in Doors Open Day. Most impressed by the Mosque building. Apart from the stunning dome It was simple and elegant. We were made to feel very welcome and had a fascinating, informative and entertaining tour. Many thanks to our delightful guide. Not being a Muslim I now have a better... More

Situated next to the river Clyde, this mosque looks impressive. It's dome is illuminated at night. It has plentiful parking and can accomodate many worshippers. Style is modern mixed with eastern. Inside is peaceful and serene. Good sound system too.

I went to attend a community event in one of the function rooms and asked cheekily if I could have a guided tour. Our lovely guide found headscarves for the female visitors and gave us a fulsome tour. He answered all out questions and more. Factually it is the largest prayer hall in Europe, it has its own car park... More

Loved it, offered the Friday prayers there. A big mosque with a lot of people. They also serve very nice halal food for those in the mood for some Asian cuisine. The building was lovely. It has a great hall for occasions.

Great building and a clear symbol of Islam's integration into Glasgow' culture. Not too far from the city centre.

Our volunteer guide identified himself as a senior school teacher. His grandfather had come to the UK in the 1950s and was one of the founding members of the Central Mosque. Our guides usual tours are for school children, but he hoped that he would not talk down to us. Well we can confirm that he did not. His presentation... More

I was staying at the Glasgow Marriott and this mosque is about 20 minutes away by walk. It is situated near the river and open for the five daily prayers. I had the opportunity to attend the Jumuah or Friday prayer and it has a great atmosphere where you can meet people from different races and cultures. The mosque is... More

As we stayed nearby it was noticeable how this mosque stands out in the evening as it shimmers when its main dome is lit up.

Glasgow Central Mosque is a very beautiful building especially since it has a green dome when viewed from the inside.
